Dena has a lifelong passion for making people look and feel like their best selves through cut, color and style. Her focus has been on bridal styling, wearable color and cuts, and tailored men's looks. With over 15 years in the industry, Dena has earned a loyal following and invaluable experience with different hair textures and techniques. She is focused on creating hair that last and wants every client to leave her chair equipped with the tools and products that are important for developing and maintaining each individuals’ unique style. As a long time resident of the Art Museum area of Philadelphia, opening Lather Hair Studio has provided a positive, welcoming space for her clients and fellow stylists. She has a way of putting you at ease in her chair and not letting you leave without a smile on your face.

Abbey is our founder and lead stylist. She has been working with the intention to welcome the whole of the Philadelphia community into our space since opening Lather in 2015. Keeping craft and growth at the forefront of her work, she works with clients to imagine the ever-changing hair possibilities that exist for them as they evolve and is grateful for the opportunity to listen, share experiences and offer a service that helps express each client.

Ashley has a passion for people; she is inspired by diversity and creativity. Her favorite styles include creative vivid colors and participating in special event hair and makeup. She has been working in the beauty industry for over 5 years and is eager to continue education and master every part of her craft. Ashley’s goal is to help each of her clients feel good about themselves while staying true to who they are.

Growing up as the daughter of a stylist, Kristin has always been captivated by the the beauty industry as an artistic practice. With a background in photography, being a hairstylist gives her the opportunity to create and capture what people envision. After graduating from Jean Madeline Aveda Institute she began her hair journey at Lather Hair Studio. Her greatest strengths are in unique, current up-styling as well as thoughtful cuts and color for all lengths and textures.
